Light Rainfall Predicted in Koshi, Madhes, and Lumbini Provinces

Kathmandu: Light rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in parts of Koshi, Madhes, and Lumbini provinces today, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
This weather pattern is attributed to the interaction of local and westerly winds with a low-pressure system that has developed near Bihar, India.
The department also reported that the hilly regions of the country will remain partly cloudy. Specifically, the hilly areas of Koshi and Lumbini provinces are forecasted to experience light to moderate rainfall along with storms and lightning throughout the day.
